Disaster DIY is looking for more Do-It-Your selfers, Handyman Wannabees, and the Frustrated People Who Know Them! Are you trapped in renovation hell? Then apply for Disaster DIY!

Please Remember: In order to qualify for the show:

A. You must live in the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).
B. For Disaster DIY Cottage Edition; your cottage must be within a 3-hour driving distance from the GTA.
C. You must be in the middle of an attempted renovation (we need to see your attempts at renovation , not the mistakes of the previous owners).
D. You must own the home or space you’re renovating .
E. You must complete the applicatio n in full. Incomplete applicatio ns will not be considered .

Disaster DIY is the new renovation show where unsuspecti ng do-it-your selfers are turned in by their loved ones. Our host Bryan comes in, and with his constructi on know-how and special brand of humour, teaches the do-it-your selfers how to plan, execute, and complete their home renovation s the right way.

1. List your name, address, and phone number. What is the name, address, and phone number of the DIY-er (if different that your own).
2. What room or part of the house has the botched renovation taken place in?
3. What are the measuremen ts of the room? Length, Width, height of ceilings?
4. What was the original plan the DIY-er had for this room?
5. What has the DIY-er done so far? Has the work been electrical ? Plumbing? Structural ? Building? Demolishin g? Dry wall?
6. How has the DIY-er messed things up? LIST THE MISTAKES!! ! Be as detailed as possible please, this is what will get you on the show!
7. What's the story behind this botched renovation ? Your version—and their version.
8. What stage is the reno at now?
9. What is the impact on the family, lifestyle? (Tension? Frustratio n? Showering at neighbour’s house? Gained 20lbs because you can’t use your kitchen?)
10. Is the DIY-er reluctant to admit his or her mistakes?
11. Describe the personalit ies of DIY-er, yourself, and other family or friends who might be on camera. (Remember. .. we want PERSONALIT IES who aren't afraid to have some fun on camera!)
12. Take some photos (no more than four, please) of the space and the mistakes made, and send them along. OR better yet, make a home video of the whole mess and send it in on VHS or DVD along with the applicatio n to:
